Step 1 – Access the Digital Classrooms
To create a new digital classroom or manage an existing one, click on the ‘Digital Classrooms’ box.
Here you can see an overview of the digital classrooms you have already created. Click on the digital classroom you want to open its details page.

Step 2 – Choose a trail for a new digital classroom
To create a new digital classroom, click on the plus icon at the top.
A screen will then appear where you can select a suitable trail. You can choose from both your own trails and public trails.
Click on the blackboard icon for your chosen trail to open the digital classroom editor.
Step 3 – Create a new digital classroom
First, fill in the general details: the name of the digital classroom will be displayed to learners in the app; select the date and time for the session (learners can join 30 minutes before it starts); and set the duration of the digital classroom (once the time has elapsed, the session will end for all participants).
You can also write a welcome and farewell message. These will be displayed to all participants at the start and end of the session, or when they leave.
In the settings, you can enable or disable the leaderboard. The leaderboard is a local ranking system and shows your own team’s score, as well as the score of the team currently ahead of you and the team hot on your heels.
Using automatic task allocation, you can control whether all participants should start with the same task, or whether they should be spread across the range of tasks to begin with.
Click on ‘Create’ to save the settings. The digital classroom will then appear under ‘In progress’ or ‘Upcoming’, depending on the start time. In the square brackets, you’ll find the corresponding code, which begins with an ‘s’. Share it with your learners so that they can join the digital classroom.
