The Idea
What are partner schools?
As part of the MaSCE³ project, schools were given the opportunity to become MathCityMap partner schools. MathCityMap partner schools are recognised for their regular use of outdoor maths. Our aim is to create an international network of schools that actively work with MathCityMap and can share their experiences both with each other and with the development team.
THE Benefits
Why should you become a partner school?
If a school is accepted into the MathCityMap partner school network, it first receives a welcome pack from us. This contains a partner school badge for the school building and measuring tools for the students. We also present the school on our website and include it in the community section of our web portal. There, users associated with the school have the opportunity to take part in special events exclusively for the partner school network. At these events, the MathCityMap team presents new developments and features and provides space for feedback, which influences the further development of the system. Admission to the partner school network and participation in the events is of course free of charge.
THE APPLICATION
How do you become a partner school?
1. Getting to know MathCityMap
Visit the MathCityMap website.
Create an account and familiarise yourself with the web portal.
If you like the system, motivate your colleagues to work with MathCityMap as well.
2. Create and publish trails
Create at least 15 tasks and 2 trails for different grade levels near your school.
Test the trails with your learners so that both trails have at least 5 downloads.
Publish the trails by submitting them for publication in the web portal.
3. Send in your application
Write an email to info@mathcitymap.eu with your application. The application is an informal report describing previous MathCityMap activities at your school. It must also include the codes of your published trails.
As soon as we have positively reviewed your application, your school will be included in the partner school network!
